How to play

Tap. Blast. Steal.

Two pixel castles face each other, a king behind each wall. Your conveyor belt rolls along the front of their castle. Dig through to their king and hit him three times before he does it to you.

  1. Tap a cannon

    Every cannon in your tray has a color and an ammo number. Tap one and it hops onto your belt.

  2. Blast its color

    As it rolls past each column, it shoots the front block if that block has its color: one ammo per block. Pick the colors their wall is showing.

  3. Steal and breach

    Every third block you break flies home and patches the hole nearest your own king. Empty both king columns and every cannon that passes hits the king. Three hits win.

Tricks of the siege

  • SUPER barrage

    Combos, PERFECT LAPS, steal streaks and king hits charge your SUPER. Fire it and a cannon barrage rains on their castle.

  • Rainbow cannons

    Every 15 blocks you break earn a rainbow cannon: it hits any color, so it never jams.

  • Don't jam the belt

    A cannon that hits nothing all lap clogs your belt and slows it down, and the belt holds just four. Blind tapping loses; the right color at the right moment wins.

  • Overtime

    Still standing after 90 seconds? Thirty seconds of overtime: no more steals and faster belts. Then the judge looks at king hearts, breaches and blocks.

New modes open up as you climb the trophy road, and the Adventure mixes them through every world. Seven of them also work in online duels and on one phone with a friend.

Fourteen cards, one verb each

Build a deck of six and play them from a hand of three. Cards cost energy, which fills up over time and with every block you break. Unlock new ones on the trophy road and level them up with copies from chests.

Real rivals, real time

Both castles take fire at once, and every block you steal is one they have to win back. That is what makes a duel.

  • Online duels

    Tap QUICK MATCH and a rival is found in seconds, or make a four-letter room code and share it. Both players dig the same castle picture, with cards at the same level, so it's fair.

  • Friends

    Add friends with a code or an invite link, see who's online and challenge them straight from the list.

  • Two players, one phone

    Lay the phone flat between you. One attacks from the top, one from the bottom, both tapping at once. No internet needed.

  • Weekly league

    Every trophy you win this week counts. The top 50 share the coin prizes, and there's an all-time ranking and a friends board too.

  • Daily challenge

    One new challenge a day, the same mode, castles and decks for everyone. Your first win of the day pays a Golden Chest.

Is Pixel Siege free?

Yes. Every card, world and mode can be earned by playing. Here in the browser there are no ads and nothing for sale. The phone apps show an ad between some battles, offer optional videos for free rewards, and sell gems, a starter pack and No Ads.

How long is a battle?

About a minute. The clock runs 90 seconds, then 30 seconds of overtime with faster belts and no more steals. Most sieges end before that with a third king hit.

Which devices can I play on?

Any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer, right now at pixelsiege.hidesnipe.com/play. The Android and iPhone apps are on their way: see the store buttons at the top of this page.

Do I need an account?

No. The game makes an anonymous account the first time you go online, with a random player name you can change. No email, no password and no personal details.

How do I play against a friend?

On one phone: tap 2 PLAYERS. Online: open ONLINE DUEL, make a room code and share the four letters, or add each other in FRIENDS and challenge them from the list.

Can I play without internet?

Yes. Battles against the computer, the Adventure and 2-player mode all work without a connection. Online duels, friends and the rankings need one.

I'm color-blind. Can I still play?

Yes. Every block color carries its own little symbol on top (a heart, a star, a drop, a clover and more), so you can match cannons to blocks by shape as well as by color.

How do I delete my data?

In the game, open SETTINGS and tap DELETE MY DATA (tap twice to confirm). That removes your online account and everything stored on your device. The privacy policy explains what is stored.
